Coalhouse Fort

Yesterday afternoon, we took a ride over to Coalhouse Fort. It only opens certain days a year, for special events but the kids enjoy the walk around the grounds outside, playing in the park and, of course, the ice cream from the van in the car park.

We found a pine tree and the kids had to pick up every single pine cone they could find on the floor and stuff them all in the pushchair. We 'lost' them all before we got back to the car though.

I got no photos of the fort itself because there's very little to see from outside but they have a couple of open days next weekend, so I think a return visit to see the inside might be in order.

We often *lose* stuff the girlies have collected.

I was sorting out winter coats the other week and found a huge pebble in Charlotte's pocket. No idea how she managed to stay upright as it weighed a ton.

Love Daniella's face in the first piccie.

Happy Monday xxx

I find rocks and pin cones all over my little ones room. I wish she'd manage to lose them before we got to the car. Scary to step on some of them barefoot in the night.

Love your pages!
